The data to support thisStandard Welding Procedure Specification (SWPS) have been derivedfrom the above listed Procedure Qualification Records (PQRs) whichwere reviewed and validated under the auspices of the WeldingResearch Council. This SWPS is not valid using conditions andvariables outside the ranges listed. The American Welding Societyconsiders that this SWPS presents information for producing anacceptable weld using the conditions and variables listed. The userneeds a significant knowledge of welding and accepts fullresponsibility for the performance of the weld and for providingthe engineering capability, qualified personnel, and properequipment to implement this SWPS.
